New Zealand had taken a great interest j in the Cook Group, and saved them falling into the hands of a foreiga nation, and was stopping the other islands going in the same direction. He urged the necessity for regular steam services and cheaper fares beI tween New Zealand and the islands. The Tutanekai sailed for Earotonga " next day. Mr. Seddon is much benefited by the trip. 3
