I Received 8, 8.57 a.m. Capetown, June 7. The conference of Afrikanders at Graaf Reinetresolved to boycott British business and support Afrikander traders. Indications are already manifest that the Bond is organising a boycott of British goods. Mr. Hofmeyr, leader of the Bond, is on his way to Europe. London, June 7. Owing to a breakdown of two cables, African news is being delayed. Eight loyal Britishers, who were imprisoned at Zeerust, overpowered their warders and liberated 33 Kaffirs. They then seized a kopje and held the patrol at bay till Colonel Plumer's arrival. The Australian Bushmen at Buluwayo engaged in Birthday and Mafekicg celebrations. (Received 8, 11.30 p.m.) Capetown, June 8. Sir A. Milner has announced that the bulk of the miners are unable to return to the Transvaal for at least two months yet.
