Received i, 9.5 a.m. Capetown, June 3. The Afrikander Bond Congress, held at Graaf Renniet, has appointed delegates to visit Great BritaiD, Australia, and Canada, to explain the Afrikander party's reasons for opposing the annexe ion of the Republics, Wellington, June 4. The Acting-Premier hap sent a tele-1 gram to mambeis of Parliament an J Chairmen of local bodies stating that the Government is arranging for a general holiday upon the proclamation of peace, and deprecating independent action in various parts of the I colony. Mr. Ward urges uniformity of action throughout New Zealand, and intimates that the date of the celebration will be announced as soon as possible after the news conges to hand,
