Wanganui, May 31, Two young men namod S.vanson and i Reynolds were each sentenced to-day to eighteen'.months at the District Oourt, for the theft of .£IOO from a totalis»tor it the March races. The prisoners vvere arrested at (Joromandel and tried a fortnight ago, when the jury disagreed, and a second tritl was ordered.
