WELL-DESERVED PKAISE. Received 10,1.60 a m. London, May 9. Lord Roberts, in a despatch re the siege of Kimberley, eulogises Colonel Kekewich's tact, judgment, and resolution, and also states that Mr. Cecil Rhodes materially contributed to the defence.
Ooionel Kekewieh explains that lack of artillery compelled the concentration of his forces; hence their inability to despatch expeditions against the enemy
