While working on the Rolling Stone dredge, at Oardrona, yesterday, John Robinson, dredge master, was oilinfr cog-wheels near the tumbler, when his foot slipped and his arm was drawn into the cogs. Robinson was taken to the Arrow Hospital, where his arm was amputated. He now lies in a critical state. His wife and family are presiding at Lawrence. ! The guard of a train from Port Chalmers reports that the son of Mr. BorJase, Sawyers' Bay, was picked up dead in a quarry thoro just as the train was passing. Thore are no particulars.
