Received .-J 1 . s - London, April lOi Colonel Dalgetty, of the Gape Kiflfij, is now in command at Wepenor, on the Basutoland border, Major-General Brabant having retired to Aliwal North, Wepener is isolated and threatened by a force of 2000 Boers, with four guns, who are laagered five miles to th> north-west of the town. A good store <f provisions is on hand. Thero was sharp lighting all day on Monday at Wepener, both sides losiug Jontiderably, tlnugh tho Bjers weit :hecked. They were reinforced on I'uesd iy in their attempts to surround ohe town.
