CONFERENCE OF LICENSED VICTUALLERS.
(PEB PBE3S ASSOOIATION.J Wellington, April 1, j A conference of licensed victuallers opens here on Wednesday to discuss trade questions, with a view to suggesting certain amendments of the Licensing Act. Among the matters 'for discussion is the granting of discretionary powers to Magistrates respecting the endorsement of licenses, and abolishing the reduction vote at the local option poll, leaving the electors to vote for or against a continuation of the traffic.
