THE FEDERAL DELEGATION.
AN AUDIENCE WITH THE QUEEN. [PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] " (Received 28, 9.50 a.m.) London, March 27. The Federal delegates lunched at I Windsor, and afterwards had an audience of the Queen. NEW ZEALAND'S VIEWS. MB. SEDDON'S STATEMENT. Keceived 28,11.40 p.m. Sydney, March 28. The Premier has received the following cable from Mr. Seddon: —" I am pleased to hear that the misunderstanding has been removed. You have my assurance that there is nothing unfriendly in your colony's attitude to New Zealand. Any course I have advised was only caused by looking forward to the good of the colonies for years to come and providing for emergencies that may arise. Take, for instance, our wish to join the Federal Court, which should be open to New Zealand. There cannot be any reasonable objection to this, uoi to the power to be given in the Enabling BUI for reciprocity. I am glad to hear that the Conference has agreed upon the matter. I have every hope that the little difficulties in London will be smoothed over, and an arrangement made satisfactory to all the colonies."
