' [PUB pbess association.] WEllington, March 9. The Stipendiary Magistrate. fined Orr, a chemist, 20s a,ndcosts; on a charge under the Offensive Publications Act. Mr. Haselden said he was impressed with the defendant's contention that he knew nothing of -the contents, but wrapping the medicine in question in his own leaflet drawing attention to cures of certain diseases destroyed the force of the contention and constituted a breach of section sof the Act. The case was not a bad one; therefore he inflicted only a nominal penalty.
