DETAILS OP FRENCH'S ADVANCE. (Received 20,1.80 ajn.) London, February 19. General Lord Kitchener accompanied General Tucker to within three milflt of Jacobsdal, the column along the rirer for the sake of the water supply. General Kitchener here awaited the arrival of General Kenny's column. Immediately upon the junction gl the forces, General Kenny advaooftd and occupied a position commanding Klip Drift, on the Modder River, hela by General French, who thereupon continued his march to Kimberley. In the meantime General Lord Methuen watched the Boers at Magerafontein. General Tucker held Jacobsdal, previously occupied by the British, and Colonel Colville's column occupied & position in tho vicinity of Jacobsdal. General Frenoli's march was through deep and waterless sund.
