half a mile. 4. Junior Whaleboat Race.—For crews under 21 years. First prize, L 5: second, LI. One mile and a-half. Chßmpion Wbaleboat Race. —First prize, L 35; second, L 10; third, Ls—providing an outside crew competes ; if not. the first prize to be L2O, second L 5. Three miles. 6.—Ladies' Whaleboat Race.—First prize, L 5 ; second, LI. A bout half a mile. 7. —Boys' Whaleboat Race.—For crews under 18 years. First prize, L 4; second, L(. About a mile and a-balf. B.—Flying Wbaleboat Race.—First prize, L 5; second, LI. Straight run of about three-quarters of a mile. 9.—Whaleboat Race—For crews lOst. 7lbs. and under. First prize, L 5; second, LI. One mile and a-half. 10. —Handicap Swimmiog Race.—First prize, L2 and medal; second, 10s. Winner can have the choice of medals or money. Distance about 100 yards. 11.—All-corre-s' Wbaleboat Race. First prize, L 7; second, LI. Winner of the Champion Race debarred. One mile and a-half. 12.—Boys' Whaleboat Race.—For boys under 16 years: First prize, L 3; second, LI About half mile. 13.—Senior Whalebcat Race, for veterans over 40 years: First prize, L 3 ; second, LI. About three-quarters mile, fost entry. 14. —Swimming Obstacle Race. Open to allcomers. The winner can have the choice of morals or money. First prize (six starters), L2 10s; (four starters), LI 10s ; (three starters), LI 5=5; second prize, 10s, providing more than two sta! t. CONDITIONS. First race to start at 11.30 a.m. Two crews to enter or no race. Three boats to start or no second prize. All races to start punctually at advertised lime. Any boat not at the starting point at the proper tirr.e shall be liable to disqualification for that event. Protests must be in the hands of the Secretary, in writing, within 15 minutes after the race. Each protest must be accompanied by a deposit of 10s, which sum shall be forfeited if the piotest is not upheld by the Committee. Entrance fee 10 per cent, of the amount of first prize money offered for each event. Names, weights of competitors (including substitutes), and colours to be worn, must be lodged at thetime of entry. All post entries (to close on Regatta day at 1 p.m.) will be charged 5 per cent on amount of first prize. Bookmakers will not be allowed to bet inside the enclosure. . The Committee reserve to themselves tho right to alter the order or postpone any or all the events, end add any regulations which, in their opinion, may be necessary. Entries for all Whaleboat Races, except Senior Veterans, close with the Secretary at the Foresters' Hall, on THURSDAY, February 16th, at 8 p.m. Entries for the Swimming Handicap Race close at the same time and at the Bame place. Band in attendance. Speoial and delayed trains will be arranged to suit visitors. m ANNUAL REGATTA DANCE will be held in St. John's Hall on Regatta night. Good music. Supper provided. H.
