PREMIERS' CONFERENCE.
[PEE PHBSS ASSOCIATION.] (Received "S, 6 p.m.) Sydney, January 28. Tbe Premiers' Conference hits concluded. It exhaustively diccusssd the E tstern Extension's Capo cabla Jpro-po-a's. Mr. Lyne states that a majority of the Premiers favoured the modified scheme submitted by the Company, but furthe* information is required on several points. Until this is received no final decision will be arrived at. The matter was left over for ten day?, when tho decisions of the various Governments will be communicated totbe Imperial authorities, Oneof the contemplatfd alterations in the otiginil proposal is that tho right to distribute messeges should not be given to tbo Company till tho Pacific cable is constructed. Mr. Lyne says the discussion of the Conference in no way interferes with the Pacific scheme, Thin was of material weight with the Premiers arriving at thtir determination.
