The Wellington Gas Company pays a dividend l'or the half-year of 10s oa fully-paid up shares, and 5s on partlypaid shares, making J!.! and 10s respectively for the year. The sum of £2OOO was carried forward. ' The southern representatives to the recent swimming carnival in Sydney, who returned to-day, were entertained this afternoon by several prominent swimmers. Responding to a toast, Mr. Gleary commonted upm the unsociable treatment they had received in Australia.
