AUSTRALIAN PREMIERS' CONFERENCE.
(PKtt P8&53 ASSOCIATION.) ( (Received 26,1.05 a.m.) * Sydney, January 25. The Premiers' Conference resolved ' that each colony ehou'd have its own ' representative on the federal delega- | tion proceeding to England; and that a conference of statisticians should decide the population of the various colonies in connection with the initiation of Federation. The Conference was resolved upon the point of precautionary action against the plague. In reference to the New Guinea Land Syndicate's claim for compensation, the Yictorian Premie? declined to recognise the claim. Mr. Lytuj announced that ] he would do nothing in the flatter without consulting Parliament, The Cape cable discussion was postponed till Saturday.
