They must return either by tho Monowai, leaving Dunedin on March 12, or the Waikare, on March tit,--arriving Melbourne either on March 18 or 25. The Committee framed the programme on the assumption thai the latter date would be accepted. Guarantees had beon received from seven Associations, but owing to the intermittent steamer arrangement it would be impossible to play more than five Associations if a New Zealand ma'ch .was to be played which the committee thought should b \ Tho committer, therefore, submitted two programmes, the only difference being that either the Nelson or Wanganui match must be abatdoned. The first programme, via Wanganui, is as follows: -Play Auckland, February 15, 16, and 17; Wanganui, 1 February 21 and 22; Wilii.-jgfcon, February 24, 25, and 26 ; Canterbury, | March 2, o, and 5; March I '9, 10, and 12; Now Zealand, as! jChrisUiiurcb, Maieh 15, 16, and 17 ;j 1 leaving by steamer at close of match.' ; Second programme, via Nelson: Play , j Auckland February 15, 1(5, and 17; j

The report was adopted, and it was decided to forward it to the Melbourne team in order to choose which programme it thought best. The Council, by 6to -J, decided to have the New Zealand team chosen by one selector.
