The Premier has oabled to the Pre-, miers of the Australian Colonies, informing them that steps have been taken in New Zealand to cope with the plague, and asking what they have done, and requesting them to cooperate in preventive measures. | The Government have decided to proclaim South Australia infected, and the Health Officers tluoughout the colony have been instructed to oxamini all steamers arriving, and to prevent them approaching the wharves until given a clean bill by the medical officers. Later, The Zealandia, which arrived from Sydney late this afternoon, was the first vessel subjected to inspection 'against the plague. The operation took some time, and it was over two hours before she got up to the wharf. | Instructions have been issued by the Health Officer that all vessels arriving I from Australia and the Islands are to anohor below the railway wharf till i visited and inspected next morning.
