The track was in good order, although holding after recent rain. The attendance was good. Results:— LEVELS HURDLE HANDICAP, of £l2O. One mile and a-half. 2/2 HUNTING BAG (A. Stove) .. 1 8/10 LAST LINK 2 1/1 GIGGLESWICK 3 All started. Won by a head, four lengths between second and third. Time, 2.49. CLAREMONT HACK HANDICAP, of £l2O. Six furlongs. 3/2 DOUBLE GIFT (J. Jennings) 1 9/9 PRINCE FLANEUR .’ 2 2/2 NOLANA 3 Scratched: Unseen, Merry De Vai. Won by two lengths, a length and a-half between second and third. Time, 1.16 1-5. OPIHI TROT HANDICAP, of £l2O. One mile and a half. 8/9 PERULA (McTigue) 1 1/1 WYNAN 2 1/1 TARUNA 3 ■Scratched: Bayard. Won by a neck, ~ six lengths between second and third. Time: 3.33 4-5. ■SOUTH CANTERBURY HANDICAP. Of £2OO.
