FREEDOM OF RAMSGATE
Honour for Mr. W. Jordan. ! Press Association —Copyright. j London, March 18. j The freedom of his native town of ! Ramsgate was conferred to-day on the ' New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr { ■yv. J. Jordan, who, in accordance with the honour, will enjoy a number of privileges, including the right to drive pigs through the streets at any hour of the day' or night. The Mayor, in the presence of aidermen and Mr and Mrs W. Nash, presented the certificate of freedom contained in a gold and silver casket, bearing the coats of arms of New ! Zealand and Ramsgate. j Mr. Jordan said he accepted the ' honour for New Zealand as well as for | himself. The deputy-mayor presented Mrs. Jordan with a silver replica of Rams- j gate lighthouse.
