ROYAL MAIL WINS. CAPITAL’S DISTURBED STATE. Their Majesties Wildly Cheered at Aintree Press Association—Copyright, (Received 11 a.m.) London, March 19. The Grand National Steeplechase, ii’un at Aintree, near Liverpool, today, resulted as follows: Royal Mail i Cooleen 2 Puckabeile 3 Royal Mail won by three lengths', with ten lengths between second and third. | - Don Bradman fell at the first jump, but the jockey remounted and flnis’Eed Golden Miller, the favourite, ran out early. There were only seven standing at Valentine’s Brook on the second circuit, when Royal Mail, which took the lead at the end of the first round, was ahead of Cooleen. Royal Mail Won a fine dace. The horse it' owned by Mr. Lloyd Thomas, former secretary to the Duke of Windsor.
Their Majesties were-wildly cheered on their arrival at Aintree. The King saw his horse, Firestone, bearing his name, but the race was unplaced in the New Handicap Stakes kept in the family through the Earl of Harewood’s horse -winning.
