NIGHT OF TERROR.
Recent Massacres at Addis Ababa Press Association —Copyright. London, March 14. Confirming the report of the “night of terror” at Addis Ababa, when the Blackshirts got out of hand and massacred Abyssinians, a special correspondent of the Times declares that conditions are still deplorable. There is a scarcity of everyday necessities, and all Government employees are rationed. Meat is a luxury. The Abyssinians decline to bring produce to the towns. The military authorities, in view of the difficulty of catering for the army, have decided to reduce the number of troops stationed at Addis Ababa. Many consider this will mean trouble when the rain conies.
The discontented Abyssinians may again close in on the capital. Even now Italians do not venture beyond certain limits, except in large bodies.
