PEA-RIFLE ACCIDENT.

Young Man Wounded. Press Association—Copyright. Auckland, March 14. Suffering from a severe wound in the groin, received when his pea rifle accidentally discharged, Mr Edvard Joseph Loader, aged 21, of Otahuhu was admitted, to the Auckland Hospital to-day. Accompanied by another young man Mr Loader went out to East Himak to shoot rabbits. Mr Loader shot a rabbit and after reloading his rifle climbed through a wire fence tp get the rabbit, leaving hit rifle leaning on the fence. When he climbed through the fence Mr Loader apparently disturbed the rifle, Which fell to the ground and discharged, the shot penetrating his hand and entering his groin. The injured man was taken to the Auckland Hospital. His conidition to-night was reported to be fair.
