Thoroughbreds For Sale In Melbourne. Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, March 2. At the thoroughbred sales at Mel bourne to-day Mr. D. Mackal, a racing journalist from Johannesburg, gave 525 guineas and Mr. Otwald Tyson gave 800 guineas for Gay Lothario colts. Mr. J. T. Jamieson paid 500 guineas for a Windbag colt and Mr W. Longworth 210 guineas for a Gaine Carrington colt.
