At the Petone Recreation Ground on Monday a representative team from Brightwater (Nelson) .played ;the chosen] of the Petone Club, says the Post. I The result, after rather an uninteresting day's play, was an easy win for the local team. Tne visitors' first innings realised 125, the principal scorers being Langbein (21), M. Eden (15), Lines .(U^Giblin (12), H^vke.at)). and Ford i? 10). Finlayson and Bnce did all the bowline. Petone responded with 139. Brio-htwater went in again, and were disposed of for 43. Brice and Finlayson Win did the bowling. Petone required 30 to win, and this they accomplished for the loss of two wickets.
