Alfred Aben, a native of Russia, was charged before Mr. Riddell, S.M., at Wellington, to-day, with breaking and entering the premises of the Coloniiil Carrying Company and stealing two pairs of boots, the property of Chas! Hnrcourt Tumor, an automatic revolver, and a quantity of cigars and cigarettes vnlup.d at £10, belonging to Frank E. Ward. When the burglary was discovered, tho police found finger prints on a. steel trunk which had been broken open. The prints were compared with impressions made by Abon after his arrest by Plain-clothes Constable Tricklebank, and found to bear unmistakable similarity on no less than 14 characteristic points. Accused was committed for trial, at the Supreme Court.
