OPENS TO-DAY

Preparations were practically complete to-night for the loth, annual rifle meeting at Trentham, opening tomorrow morning. Just tinder 400 entries have been received so far, and more are expected. The weather prospects are rather unfavourable, a strong westerly wind threatening to bring rain during the night. T»-morrow's programme includes four matches in the service series, and two classification matches, one rapid and one snap shootintr. The ex-champions oresent include: Colonel E. R. Smith, J.'Parslow. J. W.Milrov, R. J. King, K. M. Irvine, G. Halliday, W. Duncan, D. Roots, W. N. MasefieW and I^slie T.nvedny (Bisley King's Prizeman). George Loveday and his three sons are sliootincr.
