Sergt. Wade, who has been at Wellington Central. Station as acting-ser-geant for some.-time, is to be transferred from, Wellington to take charge of the Wairoa station, Hawke's Bay. — Press Association.

Robertson presided, and the presentation was. made by Mrs Johnston, who referred to the live interest Mr Carter had taken in tennis, cricket, golf., and other games.. On behalf of the- staff of the- Farmers' Co-operative Association, Mr 11. GL Pamer. (branch manager)., presented Mr Carter with a leather suit case, as a. mark of good-will, and conveyed good wishes for his future success. Mr Carter suitably acknowledged the gifts.—"Press."
