February 2nd the. Sherry Eiver Cricket Club played the Wiakefield cricket Club at Wakefield, and after an enjoyable game won by six wickets On February 14th a strong team from Bnghtwater journeyed to Sherry River to try conclusions with the local club. I his match had been looked forward to with considerable interest, and a close game was anticipated. Tile •. match, However, ended in a win for Sherry by an innings and 20 runs.
