(From 'The Colonist," Feb. 4th.) The half-yearly financial summoned meeting of the above lodge was held w j ge 100m ' Waimea street, on Wednesday evening, January 28th. lhere was a fair number of 'members present. The sum of £3-14 los 3d was disoursed for sick pay during the halfyear. The sum of £34 9s 4d was handed to the District Widow and Orphans' Fund. The surplus funds of the lod<^e now amount to £3682 7s 10(1. The District Secretary, Bro. A. G. Shrimpton, and District Treasurer, Bro. C. R Cooke, paid an official visit to the lodgej and received a hearty welcome. The following brothers were appointed as delegates to attend the next District Conference:—lv. M. Black, L. W jLockyer, F. H. Cooke, and W. McConchie. The nominations for District officers were: Provincial Grand Master, Bro. G. Best; Provincial Deputy Grand Master, Bro. K. M. Black 'and F. Graham ; Management Committee, Bros K. M. Black, W. McConcbie, and W. Liddle; Arbitration Committee, Bros. A. N. Batchelor, Wm. Moyes, and A. E. Davies; Lodge Book Examiners, Bros. A. G. Shrimpton and Wm. Thompson; auditor, Bro. W. MeConchie. Bro. W. McConchie was nominated for the office of Noble Grand, and Bro. W. L. Lockyer for the office of Vice-Grand, ?\nd were duly installed into their respective offices by P.P.G.M. Bro. A. Cross. The snrgeon, Dr. F. A. Bett, the treasurer,. Bro. Wm. Moyes, and the secretary Bro. Arthur N. Batchelor, still retain their respective positions.
