RETURNED SOLDIERS.
A SPECIAL COMMITTEE

Wellington, Feb. 24
In accordance with an arrangement Tyith the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, the Defence Department has decided to establish a special committee to deal with cases of anomaly and hardship in connection . with the payment of war gratuities. The committee -will consist of' Colonel J. J. Ksson, C.M.G.. assistant secretary and accountant to the Treasury; Colonel J. Hutchen, 0.1.C., war expenses, and a representative to be appointed by the U.S.A. All claims for consideration and decision will he submitted to the committee through the R.S.A., which will decide whether cases merit presentation.
