Wanganui, Feb. 24. Oscar Strangebye escaped from gaol by scaling a wall this morning." A vigorous .search was prosecuted unsuccessfully. 13trangebye *s under remand on a charge of breaking and entering and theft {vTWanganui, and was to appear at the Magistrate's Court tomorrow. He was arrested at Auckland, where he was recently sentenced to two years' imprisonment and declared an habitual criminal for similar offences.
