On her lasttrip here the Maheno brought 12 Chinese, and the Paloona, from the Western Pacific, brought five Hindus and four Chinese, thus making to-day's influx the heaviest of the month. Statistics show that a. total of .137 Hindus and 130 Chin- , ese have arrived in Auckland since January last.
