The situation in Turkey is uneasy. The Government is coming under the influence of the Nationalist Congress, and the provinces are thus assuming a more independent attitude. The anti-British feeling is increasing, particularly in Western Anatolia. The Allies are finding it more difficult to control the Turkish army.
