London, Nov. 23. A War Office return shows that 6,196,000 officers and men passed through the army during the war. The honours awarded for services in the field, exclusive of tho Royal Air Fo'ree; totalled 236,035 —Victoria Crosses 577: D.S.O.'s, nearly 9000; Military Crosses, 36,70^; D.O.M.'s, 24,420; honours awarded for war services other tnan in the field, 13,352.
