The Premier, in a speech, took a gloomy view regarding the finances. The'revenue- was stationary and the expenditure had increased alarmingly. Draft estimates showed a gap of 1$ millions between the expected revenue and the anticipated expenditure. There was a rocky road ahead. If the country had access to the world's money markets tho difficulty would disappear.
