In regard to complaints that though the. market, is over-glutted with stock front the drought areas the price of meat remains so hign, it is explained that this class of stock is tinsuited to the city demand. Canning companies arc reaping the benefit, and are able to purchase mutton as low as 2J-d a pound. .
