SALES OF SHOW STOCK.
The Nelson Farmers' Co-op., Ltd., report having held a very successful sale of fat and prize stock at the Nelson Agricultural and Pastoral Show on the first day. Bidding was keen for all lines offered. All stock was disposed of at record prices. Nelson butchers, as usual, made the running, and the principal sales, were as follows: —Two fat bullocks, on account of Mr Rod. O'Connor, at £.26 os each, were sold to Mr James Hunter, butcher, Nelson. These topped the market for cattle, Mr P. W. Fairoy was the, purchaser of the highest priced lambs and wethers, viz., on account of Mr Edgar Challies, 5 prize lambs at G7s; on account of Mr Allan Palmer, 3 prime wethers, 67s 6d. Mr R. C. Resiy was also a purchaser of 10 fat lambs on account of Mr Edgar Challies at 38s 6d. In addition numerous other lines were disposed of to the above-mentioned Nelson butchers, at prices ranging from 19s 6d to 61s for fat lambs, and wethers from 47s 6d to •555. y The autcioneers wish to state that tlie fat stock which they offered were second to none in the Dominion.
