EXPULSION OF THE ADMINISTRATION.
A THREIAT OF REVOLUTION
Port Darwin, Oct. 16. The deputation, which included the Mayor, the secretary of the local branch' of the Australian Workers Union, and the president of the Industrial Council, told Mr Carey, the Director of the Territory, that unless he agreed to act in compliance with the resolution asking the. Adyisoiy Council to resign and leave the Temtory the people were determined to devise moans to bring about the desired effect. It was not desired to use °Other statements were that it was absolutely criminal to allow Mr Carey "ana his colleagues to remain m charge and their refusal to resign would precipitate one of the biggest revolutions Australia had seen The demand was made that the three officials leave without consulting the Minister Eventually, after declaring that lie would not be coerced, Mr Carey Mr Evans, and Mr Justice Bevan agieed to ndviso the Minister that they wore resigning and departing by -the ne*t steamer under a promise that try wmild receive reasonable assistance from the people.
