NELSON ASSOCIATION. (From "The Colonist," Oct. .10th.) To mark the end of a successful season, the Nelson Cribbage Association [held a social gathering in the Oddfellows' Hall last night. A , progress Wo euchre tournament,' taken part in Ivy some eighty players, proved" extremely enjoyable. Mrs Haynes won the tirst prize for the ladies, winning in "i 3 ont of 16 games, a&d the booby prize fell to Miss Bradcock. The first prize *or the gentlemen was won by "Mr O. Ric.katts, and Mr F. Gorrie secured the booby prize. The trophies, gained during the season were handed to the winners by the president (Mr Walter Hobbs). Fol-j lowing are the results for tin season : — Brewers, first prize find Jlarford Shield; Citizens, second prize and club'i trophy; Sooitish, third:' Railway,! fourth; Old Navals, .fifth; Maitai Bowlers, sixth; and Albion, seventh prize. ! The first round was won by Scottish, the second by Citizens, and the third by Railway. Mr «T. Baxter (Brewers) had the most individual' wins, with an aggregate qf" 51. .'■.■■■ ' ' ".
