: <T3ni7«ed Press Assor?-stion.; 1 " Tlamilton, July 29. A scene occurred at the Magistrate's Court. Mr Gillies was asking a client certain questions, when the Magistrate i (Mr Burton) said he could not allow leading questions. Mr Gillies put the question in another way, but the Magistrate still held that the evidence was inadmissible. Mr-Gillies, saying, "Very well, 1 will leave the Court," hurriedly left the Court, his cliorit folloving. The Magistrate said he did not care i<> crive judgment in the absence of thß pnvtips, and adjourned the case. Upon resuming, Mr Gillies did not appear, and the Magistrate adjourned the Court for half an hour and summoned Mr Gillies to appear. TJpnn resuming again. Mr Gillies was still absent and the Mn£"°*va"ie ndjourn- . Ed the case till August 19th, Mr Gillies . being summoned to appear.
