ALLIES ABANDONMENT OF ODESSA INEVITABLE.
ROUMANIAN TROUBLES
KING FERDINAND INTERVIEWED
("The Times.")
(Received April 14, 7.35 p.m.) London, April 11. '"lhe Times' " Bucharest correspondent says the .Allies' abandonment of Odessa is inevitable, as Roumania is unable to feed her own starving multitudes let alone supply the flour asked for for Odessa. The evacuation will give the Bolshevjki three-quarters of a million additional supporters, and will, damage the Allies' prestige in Bessarabia, where the greatest turmoil lias prevailed since the fall of Kieff.
Kmg Ferdinand, in an interview said: "Roumania is a little island surrounded by mortal enemies. It is isolated and unable to inform the Allies of its dangers and necessities."" _ He is disheartened and dazed by the Peace Conference delays, fearing the ■spread of Bolshevism. ,H e does not think Hungary will accept the Wilsonian principles, and she is likely %o declare war upon Roumania. Since the armistice Hungary has been conducting a guerilla campaign in Transylvania
