New York, April 3. General Hertzpg, leader of the Boer Mission, interviewed, said tnat if South Africa's demands for a republic were iiot granted there would be trouble. The Transvaal and the Chiang© Free. State should be restored to liberty and Natal and the Cape should remain under British rule if they so desired. The Boer mission was going to interview Mr Lloyd George and press its claims for a- republic. If unsuccessful it intended to present the case to the Peace Conference. General Smuts had not represented the majority views of the Soxith African Union at the Peace Conference.
