An outcome of the friendly relations between the leading representatives of the French and American Labour- and Socialist bodies is the inauguration of a movement opposed to the pro-German and pro-Bolshevist wing of the international labour movement. ■ A manifesto has heen issued calling upon Socialists to support the League of Nations, which should only admit as members nations giving their people self-government, and who, give effective guarantees that they •will observe international obligations and reduce armaments to an e.xtent compatible with their international obligations.
