PROGRESS OF THE CONFERENCE.

CONFLICTING VIEWS

(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association)

London,; April 4. Impatience at the slow progress of the Peace Conference is increasing. Correspondents indicate that there are acute differences, and hint at the possibility of a breakdown. They protest against the selfishness of some of the delegates and emphasise the dangers of secrecy. The delegations are working in watertight compartments, and they fear that hastily patched up peace will be the result .

The return of Mr Lloyd George ?s expected shortly, owing to the advancement the Peace Conference has made in arriving at final findings.
