WellTnglon, Feb. 24. Another mine was discovered by trawlers.off Cape Farewell last week, and was exploded.
A report was received on Friday that I ;> mine Tiad been seen afloat off Paeka-j kariki, but search made on Saturday and I bunday proved unsuccessful. . The captain decided that it was a rather dangerous Object, and that ne would take it in tow. Accordingly a: r.oat: was lowered, and a rope was passed round the mine. Captain Hall Thompson went out to Wellington Heads, hut the mine was then noticed to "be. sinking cwinfe to the water, entering through | the bullet holes during towing.
