MARBLE AND COPPER DEPOSITS.

Mr. W. R. B. Vass, quarry manager, referred to the marble, slate and copper deposits' in the Takaka district. He produced samples of marble which he claimed were eminently suitable for interior decorative purposes. The slate deposits in.Takaka were larger than any he had seen in Scotland, where he came frpm, and the slate was a good quality.
