Suva, Mare.li 18.
A wireless message was received at 11.20 last night stating that the steamer J. A. Cox, Captain Anderson, bound from Pago Pago to Sydney, is on fire in the forehold, caused by the ignition of phosphorus.
Arrangements have been made for the steamer Levuka to go to the J. A. Cox's assistance, but at 3.40 this morning a report was received that the fire was under control, and the voyage to Sydney resumed.
