REPUBLICAN PARLIAMENT TO MEET AGAIN.
( Australian and N.Z. Cable Association)
London, March 12.
The "Daily Mail's" Dublin correspondent says that the present position in Ireland calls for the immediate establishment of some effective system of self-government. The situation has steadily grown worse since the armistice. Rebellion is the only thing talked of.
The release of certain Sinn Fein internees inflamed the popular passion, and had become a starting point of a new and furious agitation for the release of more serious offenders. The whole country is industrially Jstagnant.
Everywhere there is labour unrest, threatening further big strikes with demands which no employers can concede.
Another session of the Republican Parliament is pending, at which released members will be present, and this is likely to cause serious trouble for the British authorities.
