The following telegra mhasbeen seni by the president of the Christchurch Journalists' Union to tlio Acting-Prime Minister: —
"On behalf of the Christchurch Journalists' Union, I respectfully, but emphatically, protest against Mr. Semple's [Statement that the report of his meet-, ing here on Saturday evening was .deliberately construed ft> misrepresent] yhat lie .said. Mr. Sample's allegation j is i-imply the refuge that some public! men fiy to when they realise they have said more than-;they intended to say.
