Mrs R. p. Hudson, hon, secretary of the Motueku branch of the above xund, reports as follows: — *• ;

Balance sheet as at December 31st, 1918:—Receipts: Balance from 1917, £11 18s 8d; subscriptions during 1918, £54 18s 6d. Total, £76 12s 2d. Expenditure: Drafts to Mrs. Katherine Melland, £40j do. Children's Clothing Society, £10; do. Church Army, £10; materials purchased, Veitch and Allan, 9s; J. A. Wallace, £5 2s\2d; Trathen and Co., £5 16s 9d; rent of room, £1; cheque book, 4s; balance forward, £4 Os 3d. Total £76 12s' 2d. Audited and found correct. (Signed) Lyulph E. Rhodes: Feb. 3rd, 1919. The total amount collected since March, 1915, was £368 9s, which was expended as follows:—Drafts on London, £195; purchase of materials, £158 13s; Nelson branch, Plunket Society, £6 6d; Red Cross room, Motueka, rent, £3 10s; bank commission on drafts, etc., 3s 0d; cheque book, 10s; balance in bank. £4 0s 3d. Total, £368 9s. Garments to the number of 6765 have been sent Home, a considerable quantity of which has been contributed by x\\e Stanley Brook and Tapawera districts per Airs, llunron. Mrs. Hudson hopes to continue sending garments, and will be glad of contributions to add to those already on band. Parcels can lie left with Mrs (Dr.) Deck. Mrs Chester, a soldier's wife, v.-rites-.—"l am so thankful to you for the frocks you sent my little- girl, as she has-had j a great dool of illness, and this is hpr first holiday." The frocks were made by Nesta Drummond, of Riwaka: Mrs Chester and her little girl had been ill for a lons time, and were going to : Soutlrport'for a week, which the Baby, Fund has enabled them to do.
